Without checking a cheat sheet, I’ve been playing multiple games of hiragana drag-n-drop. I find that, even though I am guessing and often matching them wrong, when I DO get them right, they stick in my head much better than they do with plain ol’ reading. As I play more rounds, I notice that I’m able to recognize much more characters than before, and I’m able to place them correctly.
